Here you see some of my watercolours. People asked me if I could teach watercolour. It sounds strange but I hardly know myself what I am doing. There is to much secret in this technique. I learned a lot by looking to other artists.
We walk almost every day around our village Chelva. Now is the time to find wild asparagus. This is the harvest of this afternoon. Baked in a tortilla. Delicious!

Edouard Manet painted his sister-in-law Berthe Morisot more than once. In this portrait “Le Repose” he shows his evident affection for her. I think the speculation that Berthe and Edouard may have enjoyed more than romantic feelings is obvious.
Who knows more about this relationship ?

A couple of years ago when we were in the Russian Museum, St Petersburg, I was able to take some pictures of this marvellous portrait of Somov by Malyavin. These were the last pictures I took before two stern-looking ladies, museum attendants, asked if I had a permission to do so. Of course I did n´t. I had to show my passport and visa. Luckily I seemed to convince them that I was not a professional photographer and after an hour and a half they let us go. Later on I will show some other pictures that I took earlier that day.
